Tale of the Burning King

Tale Of the Burning King

He sat upon his throne, the throne without a castle.
Sat atop a lonely hill, he looked at the city in ruins.
He had no choice but to open the box, the box with the crown.
the Twilight Crown of the Midnight Flame, which earned him his name.

The Crown against the Storm, he thought would fail.
The Storm against the Lord however, was sure to succeed.
So he set out to battle, to battle against the Lord of Fear.
Lord of Hopelessness and Mankind's Faults.

Agorath they called him, Harbinger of  the Storm
Risen from the Great Darkness, bringing Chaos about.
The King battled for two moons, and stole the Storm
Protected by the flame, he killed the Lord.

But he knew all was in vain, Agorath was invincible.
For as long as Fear was alive, so was he.
He imprisoned him on the edge of the world, in the Forest of Eternity.
Where Night and Day meet, he imprisoned Agorath in Night.
He guarded the border and made sure who could never leave,
The Twilight Guardian, The Burning King.
